Decorative plantings
Eight decorative plantings
Take in some fresh air on a bike ride and discover another facet of Huron-Wendat political customs: the formation of clans to handle civil and family affairs. Eight decorative plantings adorn the section of Corridor des Cheminots bike path that runs through Wendake and the Bastien Boulevard.
These three-dimensional metallic structures, filled with earth and skillful plantings, represent the animals of the eight clans of the Nation– the turtle, the wolf, the bear, the deer, the beaver, the hawk, the porcupine and the snake. The Council of the Huron-Wendat Nation has won many awards for these works of art in a natural setting
